About Spring Washer
A compressor and a spring washer both deflect under pressure. As a result, a wave washer’s size and composition affect its deflection rate. Spring washers that are bigger and taller can support greater weight. The increased imperfections of the disc spring flatten to a certain extent under load. Depending on the load, spring washers are either static or dynamic. The washer’s primary purpose in a static load application is to hold the load, and the elastic load rating of the washer material may be surpassed. The yield limit must not be exceeded since the washer acts as a flexing spring under dynamic loads, and doing so would result in irreparable damage.
