What is meant by Duplex Steel UNS S31803 Bolts?
Duplex Steel UNS S31803 Bolts are made of austenitic-ferritic stainless steel, which was developed to be more rigid and highly corrosion-resistant than 300 series stainless steel. Properties of Duplex UNS S31803 Bolts:
- At -50 degrees Celsius, Grade S31803 Hex bolts transform from ductile to brittle. It can also become brittle at temperatures between 300 and 1000 degrees Celsius. Therefore, a proposed temperature range is -50 to 300 degrees Celsius.
- ASTM A479 Duplex S31803 Threaded Rods get embrittled when exposed to temperatures higher than 300 degrees Celsius and lose their ability to resist corrosion.
- Duplex UNS S31803 Bolts offer a better corrosion alternative to stainless steel because they exhibit superior sulfide corrosion resistance, chloride etching rigidity, and crevice corrosion resistance compared to 317L.
